  Great on a sunny day, lovely hidden walled beer garden. The food was also good but the staff were not the best, but to be honest, their comedy serving skills added to the fun.

  We stayed here for two nights over Christmas. The hotel rooms were nice. However the service was disorganised. Guests weren't told of the altered breakfast hours, or that the pub and guest lounge would all be closed on Christmas afternoon. We ate Christmas lunch here. The food was disappointing - I don't know if their usual chef was on leave or what. The vegetables were overcooked and limp, the meat was overcooked, the dessert portions were miserable. We booked a '4 course' meal but were only given 3 - we had to ask for our hot drink afterwards and had 5 minutes to drink it before we were shovelled out the door and the pub closed on us. We weren't able to order a barista coffee as filter coffee was 'easier' for the staff. Really disappointing experience and wouldn't go back.
